#TakeMeToSG-- River Cruise

Discovering places and traveling is incomparable. lol

I really miss travelling not only because gives me a break from all the stresses of work but also I got to learn and appreciate the beauty of the world/ life and count all blessings I have.

From my quick travel at Singapore last year, here are some eye catchy spots I got during our River Cruise... almost an hour tour in the Lion City...
More than the appreciation of Singapore's view, it our family bonding that counts more... It's so rare that I got to travel with my cousins and aunties, and it's also high time for us to get to know more because even though we are relatives, there are things that of course we don't know about each other...

Happy Travel.

SEX ED on BIG SCREEN (PR)

The boy who saw dead people is back, and this time he’s talking about the birds and the bees.

It’s been more than 15 years since Haley Joel Osment uttered that famous line as the haunted boy in “Sixth Sense” and after taking a break from the big screen, Osment is making a comeback-- and this time he is seeing a virgin on the mirror.

From being Forrest Gump Jr. to his break out role as Cole Sear, which made him the second youngest to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards, Osment seemed on his way to a long and successful acting career.

In addition to his follow-up movies Pay It Forward and A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), Osment made regular TV appearances and even did voice work for the hit Disney video game series Kingdom Hearts, but when he turned 18, Osment took a break from Hollywood and headed to New York.

"It was always college. My mum's a sixth-grade teacher, so it was never really negotiable. And luckily,
I wanted to go to college, too," he said in an interview.

Haley studied experimental theater and graduated from the NYU's Tisch School Of The Arts.

“You can only go to college at that time in your life once, when you are 18, in order to sort of figure out what you want in your life,” he adds.

Haley said having that college experience and a social life that didn't revolve around Hollywood was absolutely crucial for him.

While Haley has been working steadily since graduating in 2011, his biggest role upon his return was in Entourage where he played the main antagonist Travis McCredle, which for a lot of people shattered their childhood image of Haley.

Something he redeems in the upcoming romantic indie comedy movie SEX ED from Solar Pictures.

In Sex Ed, Haley plays Eddie Cole, a down on his luck teacher who lands his first teaching gig at an inner-city middle school.

He soon finds that his highly pubescent pupils are receiving no form of sexual education. And though he isn't really equipped to teach them, he's takes on the challenge of explaining “the birds and the bees”, much to the chagrin of their parents.

But his biggest problem isn’t the students or their parents—it’s himself.

How can a “virgin” teach Sex Ed?

It’s a fascinating role for Haley, as the former child star now finds himself the “teacher” to a new generation of kids who are also aspiring to be actors.
The movie is backed by a talented and comedic cast led by Matt Walsh (Veep) and Retta (Parks and Recreation), Lorenza Izzo (The Green Inferno, Hemlock Grove), Glen Powell (Expendables 3, The Dark Knight Rises), Laura Harring (Gossip Girl), Abby Elliott (Saturday Night Live), George Eads (CSI), and Lamorne Morris (The New Girl).

“Sex Ed”, uncut and in all its glory, will be hitting theaters on July 22, 2015, released through Solar

CFL or LED? Which is the better light for you (PR)

With lots of attributes to consider, which is really better for you? Let’s scale it down.

CFL

CFL also known as compact fluorescent is your mini version of a standard fluorescent light bulb.

CFL gives lighting efficiency and has been used for decades now and it has graced our homes as it fits perfectly in an ordinary socket without using an adaptor.

CFLs normally takes a few moments to warm up and reach its full brightness.

However, CFLs contain a small amount of mercury which normally does not cause any hazard but if the bulb breaks accidentally, that’s where the problem comes in. Mercury has been banned in the medical field due to its harmful effect on human health.

Regular CFL bulbs lasts up to 6000 hours

Average energy use per year: 767 KWh/yr

Average cost in the Philippines: Php 125 to 300

LED

LED or Light Emitting Diodes was introduce several years back with the promise of lowering your electric bill.

According to the study made by Lighting Research Center, LED light bulbs work by bringing together currents with a positive and negative charge to create energy released in the form of light. The result of this is a fast source of light that is reliable and instantaneous.

LED bulbs also fits an ordinary socket without the need of an adaptor and it bright up as soon as you switch it on.

LED bulbs is considered good for the environment and are endorsed by green movements.

LED bulbs generally cost more to buy although manufacturing technologies are lowering these prices as we move along.

Regular LED lasts anywhere from 20,000 to 50,000 hours.

Average energy use per year: 329 KWh/yr

Average cost in the Philippines: Php300 to 800

Equal Factor

Both serves your lighting needs efficiently. Both fits in sockets of your lamps and fixtures. Meaning, if you don’t consider the chances of your bulb breaking then you would likely choose CFL over LED because of the price difference.

Points to Ponder:

CFL might cost less but it requires you to buy more bulbs over time whereas LED lights last longer, so even though you’re paying more at purchase, you buy fewer bulbs in the long run.

Considering the humid weather in the Philippines, we should also consider that CFL bulb emits more heat than LED bulb, thus, by choosing wisely, you can reduce the heat index in your home.

Moreover, if you care for the environment, Lower energy consumption decreases carbon dioxide emissions, sulfur oxide, and high-level nuclear waste.

CD-R Kings makes it easier for you to decide

CD-R King, your one-stop media provider gives you the ease of choosing by taking away the drawback of price difference by making LED bulb available to the General public at a more affordable price.

This is effort compliments their advocacy in encouraging people to care for the environment during their California e-bike campaign early this year.

It is also noted that CD-R King offers several choices of LED bulbs with different price range both for personal and industrial use.

Love Hope Faith | What I Wear | MarkMyName

It's time for some distress denim once again! The classic ragged jeans are almost everywhere. Such fashion statement come and go and come back over time. But each time its on peak, I don't buy new one, I recycle. Just like what I am wearing. It's fruit of effort of re-inventing my old jeans. I already have posted the pants version of this and for some long stor, it became shorts(gets?hahah), which I love :)The top is a baseball shirt on Aztec sleeves of Topman which I bought from Surplus Shop in SM.

So much more with the ragged look, I am here to share my love, hope, faith watch. Yes! It's the real deal. I first saw them during a bazaar at World Trade Center. I didn't get the chance to grab one during that day, and from there I've been wanting to have a piece.

Then I started following them on instagram and when I learned that they are joining Celebrity Bazaar at MegaTrade Hall, I immediately head on to their booth to get one. Their design is very simple, unique and easy to match on any outfit. Its also my first time to wear rubber strap watch since I'm acidic, if I will wear bright or light color it will easily get dirty. So I picked the safest color. The best thing about their watch is 50% of their profit goes directly to their charity, for goodwill :)
