Bali Indonesia Day 1 : Mark & Gab

We got a chance to book (not so) cheap 2-way flight to Bali, Indonesia last September 07, 2018 as early celebration of Gab’s  birthday. We booked our hotel online worth P8,000 for a deluxe room for 4 nights stay. The room is good enough for our stay as we planned that most of the time we will be out exploring the beauty of this island.

Unfortunately, upon arrival the reserved room for us was given to a walk in guest. Generous enough, Grand Ina Bali Resort gave us suite type room which If may say, is too huge for a guest of 2.  But left with no choice we took the room and enjoyed the privilege.

The hotel where we are staying I must say is not ideal for tourists who want to be always out because the hotel pretty much provides everything a guest would need. Spa, restaurant, bar, pool, beach front and other amenities.

So much more about the hotel, here are few things I love upon arrival to Bali.

Just like Philippines, Bali’s has this warmth welcome to all their tourists.

Imays

Bacolod can be your town of sweet little treats with their wide array of restaurants or pasalubong centers that offers desserts and other indulgence. However, it can also be a place for you to have a really good seafood treats.

Imay’s for one, is a very nice restaurant that offers local and tasteful seafood dishes. The alfresco sits and its overall ambience would surely complete the beach away from beach experience, via the food of course.
The restaurant’s price range is quite reasonable for a family dine out whenever there’s a celebration. It’s not a good place for convenience eating with friends as serving time can be a bit longer.
Lets start the drill with some appetizers like vegetable tempura. The crisp of the breading perfectly matches its tartar garlic mayo dip. We had crispy kankong and eggplant tempura.
This bulanglang soup will surely kick off your appetite. Level up the usual with its halaan ingredient.
I wished that the eggplant was  grilled and has that smokey flavor , but it doesn’t have that kick.
Butter garlic shrimp is so tasty but limited 😀
These guys are for the bucks. Grilled tuna belly showcased the freshness of their seafood meals.
This is the real deal. Vegetables with crab meat. The oh so real crab meat is truly unforgettable.
Adobong baby squid is also something that you need to try.
Seafood ala pobre has that overpowering buttery gravy taste which I personally don’t like.

Black Scoop Cafe

When you think of milk tea, the word milk immediately describe the its liquid form. This cafe in Maginhawa Quezon city definitely broke that unwritten rule. They bind the liquid milk tea and made it into sundae for and topped it with the black pearls. Hippie as it may sound as sundae ice cream is also becoming fad these days but in yougurt form.

Adding the huge outer box to hold the cup of sundae to make the milk tea experience one of a kind. They made it for branding of course. They have several toppings and add ons but the base is the same.

The blend of sundae that melts in your mouth and gives you that milk tea madness then this is it. I suggest that you stick to this order and do not over do your toppings to maintain that bubble tea taste.

Cozy ambience of the cafe added plus points to it specially to those who want to have dessert moments after a meal.
